    Founded as a consulting firm.

    IPO and establishment of a nationwide broadband network.

  • 2006

    Restructuring of the voice and data network to an IP-based “Next Generation Network”. Acquisition of the Hamburg-based network provider Broadnet AG, which specializes in radio relay.

  • 2010

    Acquisition of the Nuremberg-based housing and hosting specialist IP Partner AG.

  • 2011

    Acquisition of the Hamburg-based IT consulting and IT outsourcing provider INFO AG.

  • 2013

    Merger of INFO AG with QSC AG.

  • 2016

    Intensified focus on cloud-based IT services, supplemented by IoT and SAP applications – operated on our own data center infrastructure. Bundling of IoT activities into the newly founded Q-loud GmbH.

  • 2017

    Establishment of the Colocation division to provide standardized data center capacities on the market.

  • 2018

    The five divisions operate largely independently in their markets. Conversion of the Telecommunications division into Plusnet GmbH.

  • 2019

    Sale of Plusnet GmbH to EnBW Telekommunikation GmbH.

  • 2020

    Acquisition of the software engineering specialist Incloud.


    GENEX continues its growth with a new location in Riga to attract skilled and committed talent: founded in summer 2020 under the name SIA q.beyond Riga.


    QSC becomes GENEX: headquarters in Cologne and around 900 employees at ten locations across Germany.
